Ben Match, Class III Flight Instructor  

A proud owner of a C150 who lives in Tofield, Ben is the only one of us who literally gets to fly to work! An experienced member of our Single Engine Department, watch for Ben Taxiing by in his Blue & White 150. Contact Ben: bmatch@aviationacademy.net

Gavin Stuart, Class III Flight Instructor  

A former Baggage Handler at Air Canada and a Graduate of the Aviation Program at Mount Royal University in Calgary, Gavin shares his Education & Background Knowledge with his Students as a Member of our Multi IFR Department. Contact Gavin: gavin@aviationacademy.net 

Jason Roos, Class III Flight Instructor 

Jason orginally did some training at Edmonton City Centre and also works on the ramp at North Caribou Air. In addition to working with Private & Commercial Students, Jason is one of the go to guys for Piper Arrow & Mountain Check Outs. Contact Jason: jroos@aviationacademy.net

 

Matt Jones, Class II Flight Instructor  

Matt comes to us from the UK and has worked his way up through the company since 2007. An experienced instructor, Matt is a member of our Multi IFR Department. Contact Matt: mjones@aviationacademy.net

Dispatch & Fuellers

 

Adam Lawless, Dispatch Department

Adam trained with Cooking Lake as a Commercial & Multi IFR Student and upon completion in the Spring of 2011 was immediately hired behind the desk. Also enrolled in the Business Diploma Program at Grant MacEwan with an Aviation Major, Adam hopes to enter the industry on completion of his diploma in 2012.

 

Tim Lopaschuk, Dispatch Department 

Tim completed his Private Pilot License with Cooking Lake in the Spring of 2011, and joined the team as a Dispatcher shortly after. Since then, he has completed his Night and Multi Engine Rating as he works toward his Commercial Multi IFR. Watch for Tim on both Weekdays and Weekends at the Academy. 

 

Nathon VanLeeuwen, Dispatch Department 

Nathon is the longest serving dispatcher at the Academy and is is currently working through his Instructor Rating with Orville. As a former aircraft owner, Nathon is the guy to talk to about homebuilt aircraft. Also employed at North Caribou Air, watch for Nathon on Monday mornings throughout the year.

Mr Rod McDowell, Fuelling/Ramp Boss 

A Private Pilot himself, the Dispatchers are relieved to have Rod's assistance when the scheudle gets busy on the weekends. A welder by trade, Rod has been known to repair a broken tow bar or two during his time. Keep an eye out for our Ramp Boss directing traffic to the pump next time you're in for a flight!
