country in terms of Transport Canada exams. We are very proud of our students
for the successes that they have achieved. Furthermore, we are committed
to see that all of our students master their dreams. Orville Hewitt is
the owner and operator of the academy. Orville is a Class I Flight Instructor
with over 37 years of general flight experience and professional flight
training. Many former students are now employed with both major and regional
airlines.

You can walk into the office and be greeted with a warm welcome and a
cup of coffee. Staff will discuss your dreams of flying and assist you
on the path to making those dreams come true.
By
learning to fly at Cooking Lake Aviation Academy, you will save a considerable
amount of money when compared to other flight training facilities. Why
pay for additional transition time to and from designated practice areas,
or transition time to practice your take-offs and landings? Why pay for
taxiing and time delays due to traffic congestion? There is no congestion
at Cooking Lake Airport! As a result, a students training is enhanced!
As
you gain experience you will still have access to International and City
Centre Airports. The national average for a Private Pilot Licence is 65
hours in the air. Because of the unique location at Cooking Lake, students
can achieve a licence in 45 hours. This in itself is a $2,000 saving!

the logging of many flight hours.
